SIGO Cold-Pressed Groundnut Oil (Mungfali ka Tel) is the golden standard for daily Indian cooking. Pressed slowly from premium sun-dried groundnut kernels from the Saurashtra region of Gujarat, our oil retains its subtle, naturally sweet peanut aroma without any burnt aftertaste or solvent residues.
Unlike heavily processed commercial peanut oils that taste flat and greasy, cold-pressed groundnut oil enhances food with a subtle nutty fragrance. Because it does not absorb the flavors of ingredients cooked in it, it allows the true spices and textures of your dishes to shine while delivering crisp, golden fried snacks that absorb significantly less oil.
Groundnut oil is celebrated for its natural fatty acid profile, boasting over 48% Monounsaturated Fatty Acids (Oleic Acid) and natural phytosterols. It is naturally rich in Vitamin E. Zero trans fats, zero palm oil blending, and zero chemical preservatives.
We choose only mature, clean Saurashtra peanuts renowned for their sweetness and oil quality. Shelled and checked for zero aflatoxin, the kernels are cold-pressed mechanically under gentle hydraulic pressure. The freshly extracted oil is settled and micro-filtered, delivering a pristine, golden cooking oil.

Frequently asked questions about cold-pressed groundnut oil, smoke point stability, deep frying, and doorstep delivery.
Yes, it is one of the finest oils for deep frying. With a smoke point of 225°C (437°F), it remains stable under high heat without smoking, foaming, or forming toxic aldehydes. Foods fried in it turn out remarkably crisp and non-greasy.
Not at all. The aroma is pleasantly subtle and nutty in the bottle, but once heated in the pan, it blends harmoniously into curries, dal, and stir-fries without overpowering your spices.
Because cold-pressed oil does not contain chemical additives, it is best not to reuse it repeatedly. However, if strained through a fine cloth after cooling and stored in a dark bottle, it can be used within 2–3 days for regular sautéing or tempering.
Groundnut oil naturally contains predominantly Monounsaturated Fatty Acids (MUFA, ~48%) and Polyunsaturated Fatty Acids (PUFA, ~34%), making it a stable cooking oil for traditional Indian cooking.
